Answering Your MessageAll messages and replies are printed and placed in your medical chart. We encourage patients to use the reply feature to acknowledge receipt of QuadMed’s recommendations/messages. Email, Patient Confidentiality, and your DoctorQuadMed and Quad/Pharmacy has used electronic mail on a limited basis to communicate between physician and patients for over 10 years. We treat all communication between patient and physician with equal confidentiality whether by telephone, regular mail, or electronic mail. An electronic mail account maintained by commercial subscription services (such as America Online) is usually considered private. Email sent via the Internet is not secure, and there is no guarantee of delivery or time of delivery. Informed ConsentWe encourage patients to sign an informed consent for email communications.
