What is a physician assistant?
See this page for a complete
answer.
Is there a doctor available 24 hours a day?
Yes. If the office is closed and you have an urgent problem, your call to
the practice will roll over to our answering service, which will page the
doctor on call.
Do you take walk-ins?
We prefer that you call to make an appointment. If you come without an appointment,
we will try to work you into the schedule. Depending on the schedule, this
might involve some waiting. If you are ill, it’s best to first call
to speak with the nurse.
How far out do you book appointments?
Six months.
Can I schedule a visit with a pediatrician before my child is born?
Yes, you can meet with the doctor, who will answer any of your questions and
give you a tour of the facility.
We encourage you to visit our practice at one of the scheduled evening meetings for prospective families. You’ll have a chance to meet our doctors, and the office manager will give you a tour of the facility.
Where can I park? All of our locations have a parking lot surrounding the building.
What forms do I need for my first visit?
Will I always see my personal physician? Can I
be seen by any of your doctors?
One of the advantages of a group practice, such as ours, is that doctors can
cover for one another. Even if your doctor is out of town or fully-scheduled,
another member of our medical staff can take care of your needs.
I have a question about my bill. What should I do?
Please call Quad/Claims during normal business hours (Monday through Friday,
9:00 am – 5:00 pm) to inquire, 414-566-6800. Be sure to have a copy
of your statement when you call.
If I see a doctor or nurse practitioner who is not my regular doctor,
will my insurance pay?
Yes, all of our medical staff is covered under all the insurance plans.
What should I do when I travel out of the area and I get sick?
Call our office; the triage nurse will provide advice or direct you in the
next step. If our office is closed and you appear seriously ill, seek care
at a local physician’s office or emergency room.
How do I get a copy of my medical record?
We must receive a signed authorization to release records. We will release
records to other physicians at no charge.
Will the doctor call in an antibiotic for me without having seen
me?
No, your doctor needs to examine you and determine what treatment is appropriate.
How can I get my medicines refilled?
We will refill medications without a new visit only if you have been seen
for this problem within the last 12 months. This allows proper evaluation
and documentation of your condition and response to medication. If you have
refills left, you may use our online refill program.
