FAQs for fitness centers in Quad/Graphics locations only *
I just started working. What do I have to do to use the fitness centers located in Quad/Graphics locations only?
You must fill out some paperwork including a health history questionnaire.
If you have any health risks, based on your answers to the questionnaire,
you are required to obtain a doctor's
release prior to using the center. Then,
you need to have either an equipment orientation or personal training
session(s). Lastly, you must pay a $10 one-time towel fee.
If I'm a member at one center, can I work out at another center?
Once you become a member of any Quad Fitness center, you are
free to use them all.
Can a friend or a relative of mine work out with me in the
fitness center?
If your friend or relative is a Quad employee, spouse, significant
other or dependent over the age of 14, they are eligible to become
a member of the fitness center. They need to complete the questionnaire
and release, have an orientation or personal training, and pay the
towel fee.
Why do I have to fill out a health history questionnaire and
have an orientation or personal training to become a member?
The health history questionnaire is a helpful tool in identifying any
potential risks or contraindications to exercise. Orientation to the
equipment or personal training is essential to ensure that the member
is using proper form and lifting techniques.
I work a 12-hour shift; will the fitness staff be able to get
me in for an appointment?
All of the Quad Fitness centers have staff hours that accommodate
all of the shifts.
I've never worked out before and I am a little nervous. Where do I start?
The Quad Fitness team has a lot of experience behind them;
we have worked with people of all experiences: from members who are just starting to college athletes
and marathon runners. Feel free to contact the fitness staff in your
plant and we can help get you started!
How much does it cost to become a member of the fitness center?
There is currently a one-time towel fee of $10.
If I am a member, but haven’t worked out in a long time, do I need to have a fitness assessment in order to start working out again?
We recommend having a fitness assessment once a year. If you haven't
had one in several years, it is highly recommended to have one before
engaging in exercise again. If your paperwork was filled out more
than seven years ago, you will be asked to update that as well.
If I transfer to another plant, can I get my fitness files
transferred as well?
Just let the fitness staff know that you are transferring and we will
shuttle your file to the appropriate fitness center.
What are the hours of the fitness center?
Click on the link of the plant that you are interested in to find that fitness center's hours.
If I pay the towel fee at one center, does that cover me at all
centers?
Yes.
